On the latest developments on the recent Israel-Lebanon missile escalation, Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu held a meeting with the ministers of defense, national security, foreign affairs, and strategic affairs, as the country is preparing to respond to rocket fire from south of Lebanon.

Israeli media reports explained that Israel will probably declare a military action that will take place in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip and extend for days.

Israel Katz, a member of the Israeli Political and Security Cabinet, warned that “The situation demands a severe response. The State of Lebanon bears responsibility for what is happening on its territory”

Dozens of rockets were fired from Lebanon at northern Israel on Thursday, with reports of casualties.

What followed was that the Israeli artillery bombarded Lebanon with a number of heavy missiles from its border positions.

According to the Israeli army, 34 missiles were launched from Lebanon, 25 of which were intercepted and 5 of which fell in Israel.

Additionally, The Israeli Foreign Ministry directed Israeli ambassadors to inform host countries that Israel will retaliate to the rocket attacks from Lebanon.

According to an Israeli army spokesman, the party responsible for the rocket attacks from Lebanon is Hamas. Iran’s involvement is also being investigated.
