The “Atlas Lions” of the Moroccan national football team were forced to settle for a goalless draw in their second friendly match against Peru.

The match, which took place at the Civitas Metropolitano stadium in Madrid, saw coach Walid Regragui make some changes to his starting lineup, opting to bring in Abdel Samad Zalzouli and Zakaria Aboukhlal as key players who did not participate in the previous match against Brazil.

Despite dominating most of the first half and creating several opportunities for scoring, the “Atlas Lions” were unable to break the deadlock against the Peruvian national team.

In the second half, the Peruvian national team’s attacking tactic picked up pace against Moroccan defense, which had fallen back.

The match was marked by several rough interventions from the Peruvian team, which angered the Moroccan players and led to a scuffle between the two teams. Sofiane Boufal and one of the Peruvian players were both shown red cards by the referee.

Despite some modest attacks from the Moroccan team in the remaining minutes of the match, the game ended in a stalemate without a clear winner or loser.
