In a recent interview with Hespress EN, Dr. Hatem Ghemari, a political and legal affairs advisor at Arab Maghreb Union, discussed his new book, “The Approach to State Reform in the Reign of King Mohammed VI,” which was published by Dar Al Amane in Rabat. Ghemari, who completed his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Law, Economic and Social Sciences in Rabat-Agdal, received high honors and a committee suggestion to publish the work.
Under the guidance of Dr. Manar Slimi, a political analyst and counselor, Ghemari delved into Morocco’s comprehensive reform and development vision during the reign of King Mohammed VI. The book expands on Ghemari’s father’s 1988 dissertation titled “A Reading in the Political Mind of King Hassan II.”
Ghemari explained that his work reveals several milestones, including the establishment of a new legitimacy for King Mohammed VI based on his achievements and actions, in addition to his religious, historical, and traditional aspects. He highlighted the Moroccan monarch’s comprehensive approach to field communication, which has reached all regions of the kingdom.
Continuing his father’s analysis of the late King Hassan II’s reign, Ghemari expressed his devotion to the country, the monarch, and the people of the honorable kingdom, having married a Moroccan doctor and continuing his political career.
With scientific data and research, Ghemari aims to provide a picture of the transformations that Morocco has undergone in all fields since King Mohammed VI ascended the throne of his ancestors. He plans to translate and distribute the book internationally, allowing political actors, researchers, and others interested to benefit from Morocco’s pioneering experience in reform and democratic transition.
Ghemari intends to delve deeper into the question of political reform and democratic transition through comparative experiences, given the importance of this topic in achieving economic and social development and promoting rights and freedoms. In conclusion, he emphasized the significance of his work in shedding light on Morocco’s successful path toward reform and progress.
