Director David Fincher is behind Netflix's binge-watching system

In a beautiful love declaration at the prestigious Cesar awards ceremony, the talented actor Brad Pitt explained that the famous director David Fincher is behind the binge-watching system that streaming services are following nowadays.

Pitt, whose performances under Fincher’s direction distinguish him from a lot of actors, said that when Fincher released his first series “House of Cards”, a Netflix production, he suggested releasing all the episodes at once, therefore creating Netflix’s binge-watching trend, that the streaming service alongside others, follow now.

Pitt gave a heartfelt speech to the great director before handing him an honorary Cesar award.

He revealed that Fincher was a major decision-maker in “House of Cards” starring Kevin Spacey.

He suggested that all episodes should be released at once, he also suggested to add a button to skip the intro, which Netflix has implemented ever since.

The duo partnered together in 3 iconic films, the psychological thriller “Seven”, the mind-bending satirical drama “Fight Club”, and the fantasy romance drama, “The curious case of Benjamin Button.”

The five minutes long speech explained Pitt’s great fondness for the director, as he described him as a perfectionist.

He jokes about being a survivor after taking part in 3 Fincher movies.

Pitt took the crowd down Fincher’s great carrier and explained that many try to imitate him yet fail miserably.

“His idea of professionalism is most others’ idea of obsession”, stated the actor. His films speak for themselves, he added.

“My life has forever changed one day when I sat down for coffee with David Fincher,” recalled Pitt.

After the great speech ended, Fincher got up to accept his award as “Where’s my mind?” by Pixies played the famous song that he used in the climax in his movie “Fight Club”, a role that many agree on the fact that it’s Pitt’s greatest performance.
