The past three days of Saad Lamjarred’s rape trial in Paris have been making headlines in Morocco, as the judicial process informed the public of startling details of what transpired between Lamjarred and the victim.

After an eventful first day, where both Lamjarred and his wife took the send to refute the aggravated rape allegations.

The second day:

On the second day, February 21, the Twitter account “MarineAmericas” belonging to a journalist at RFI media, live-tweeted statements from the trial.

The court listened to the 27-year-old victim, Laura, as well as a staff member of the hotel where the rape that the singer is being accused of, took place.

The man explained how he found Laura with a ripped shirt as Saad followed her.

“I blocked his passage,” said the man adding that the singer asked him not to call the police.

He described Saad being in his underwear as he chased Laura, who was sobbing and in a panic state.

A housekeeping lady took the stand next and described the state in which she found Laura, crying in her ripped shirt as the woman tried to calm her down by handing her water, confirming what the man just said.

Some witnesses were absent which is why Laura B had to talk sooner than planned.

She talked about how she first met the singer at a nightclub, what they talked about, and how he tried to kiss her numerous times.

Once they got to his hotel room, Laura admitted that they kisses willingly until he pushed her to the ground, as quoted by the Twitter account reporting on the trial.

“I didn’t understand”, said Laura as she proceeded to describe the gruesome and violent details of the rape in tears.

When he stopped which Laura didn’t understand, she tried to run away and hide in the bathroom.

Once out she found a much-calmed version of Saad.

“It was like two people, a caring and respectful person who worries if you are thirsty or cold, and a haughty person who does not listen to anything and who takes advantage of the misfortune of others and sees them suffer,” said the victim.

Laura said that he asked her to marry him over and over again, and hit her right after.

As he strangled her she recalled feeling that “that was it.” She described the same details that the hotel staff said.

Laura outlined how this changed the course of her life and listed the numerous effects, including moving to a new city, changing jobs, and more.

“I’m no longer me,” stated Laura.

When asked by the court president if he had a reaction, Saad refused to say anything.

The court then heard Nadège L, an influencer, who was present in the nightclub, then in the room of the Intercontinental hotel where both Saad and Laura were present.

When asked about Cocaine, the influencer started laughing which wasn’t appreciated by the court president who said “Madame, you have taken an oath. This is not reality TV but a criminal case.”

Saad previously confirmed taking cocaine that night.

After Nadège, he finally reacted to Laura’s testimony, still mixing two languages.

“My version is totally different from Laura’s. I never ever ever penetrated Laura. If something freaked her out and scared her, that was not my intention at all,” said the artist accused of the brutal rape.

Laura recalled how she begged him to stop and described how he wanted to put some ice on her injuries.

The court president asked Laura what she expects from the trial.”Just that the word ‘victim’ is written everywhere”, she responded in tears. “My normal life ended with this case. I want to be able to resume a normal life.”

Saad’s lawyer questioned everything she said, but Laura reminded him that there is a medical report proving her claims.

She agreed to provide the court with emails of several women who told her their stories and how Saad raped them as well.

Saad’s attorney claims that Laura is using this matter to obtain publicity. Laura responds, “I wouldn’t be here today if he hadn’t raped me.”

The third day:

The court was supposed to hear a Moroccan woman who sued Lamjarred for the same thing in 2015, but she didn’t come.

The court spoke to Laura’s psychologist, who knows all about Laura’s struggle as she has been seeing ever since she first declared being raped by the Moroccan singer.

It was finally Saad’s turn to recall what happened that night and his words almost fully contradict Laura.

He described their kisses as long, “I continued to kiss her and my hands were everywhere. At some point, I felt that she was ready for the next step. I took off my t-shirt and my jeans. I continued to kiss her and all of a sudden I felt a painful scratch on my back. And I had a bad reflex that I regret today. So I pushed her face brutally and I squeeze her face too. I’m ashamed. I should never have done that. A man should never wear the hand on a woman, even if she scratches it.”

He maintained that he has never penetrated the victim nor with his member, nor with his fingers.

Sobbing, the artist “I’m not saying that she is lying, but that she was mistaken.”

“I never heard the word ‘no'” said Lamjarred. Laura said she begged him to stop.

In tears, the artist recounts having seen his concerts canceled, and suffering from hate campaigns on the internet.

Laura faced endless hate and defamation campaigns ever since she first spoke about her rape.

The artist’s fans continued to attack her viciously online and dement her claims.
