American actor Bruce Willis has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, his family announced.
Willis had previously been diagnosed with aphasia, which causes difficulties with speech, but this has progressed and the actor has been given a more specific diagnosis, the family’s statement noted.
A household name in the 80s and 90s with movies such as Die Hard and The Sixth Sense, Willis gave up acting last year following his initial diagnosis.
