At least three people have been killed after a shooting at a US university.
The attacker at Michigan State University was chased by police after he fled on foot. He was described as a short black male in a cap, red shoes and a jean jacket.
Students and staff were told to “secure-in-place immediately” as officers responded to multiple 911 calls.
He later died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, local media reports.
Five people were taken to hospital, some in a life-threatening condition, while 3 died while the shooter was active on university grounds.
