Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, under the Al-Quds Committee, announced its action plan to Al-Quds for 2023, which is divided into social support projects, human development, health, education and reconstruction, trade, agriculture, cultural and artistic animation, media, sports, youth and children, with a budget of about $3.4 million.
The agency said in a statement on Saturday that it has earmarked a budget of $600,000 for the Silver Jubilee celebration, fully funded by the Kingdom of Morocco. These are indeed the activities that began on January 20 and will continue throughout 2023, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, under the slogan “A new beginning to consolidate the place of Al-Quds and its religious and civilizational status.”
According to the communiqué, the social support projects envisaged in the Agency’s plan for this year give special priority to helping certain categories of maqdessis overcome the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic and the repercussions of the price hikes due to the global economic crisis.
In doing so, the Agency draws on the conclusions of the second consultative meeting, held last month in Rabat, under the theme “What model of sustainable development in Al-Quds?”, in which the undersecretaries-general in charge of Al-Quds and Palestine at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the League of Arab States, Islamic and Christian religious authorities, university rectors and representatives of various social and economic institutions in Al-Quds participated.
Moreover, Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency will participate on Sunday in the conference “Al-Quds 2023: Building Resilience, Development and Investment”, to be held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, with a strong Arab and Islamic presence, during which the Agency will present a report on the results of its programs, activities and prospects for its work in Al-Quds in the next stage.
