Questioned over the late release of the club world cup song, Moroccan producer Red One said at a press conference in Rabat on Monday that”the concept for the song came to him late.”

He said lack of inspiration was behind the late release which took place weeks after the tournament’s grand opening last Tuesday, “but is extremely happy with how everything ended up.

Hespress sources have previously claimed that conflict between the artists and the film crew was to blame for the delay, alongside some FIFA interventions with the artists’ wardrobes which called for extra editing and retakes.

Red One added that because writing the verses in Arabic is not his craft, it took a long time to complete the song. As a result, he sought the assistance of expert songwriters.

Present at the conference were Aminux, Nouamane Belaiachi, and Rym Fikri.

Due to health reasons, the well-known rapper Dizzy Dros was unable to attend the event, but he participated remotely via video call.

Dizzy said that “if Red One didn’t put us together this wouldn’t have happened because we make different music, and as an international producer he understood each one of us and managed to combine our art which resulted in an amazing representation of morocco through music.”

Red One described how challenging this experience was for him and how emotional he felt when he first learned he had to oversee this project.

He described how the chorus lines suddenly flashed before him as he was at home practicing his guitar.

“I am very proud of this Moroccan work and of the artists who participated in it”, added Red One.

When questioned about the connection between the Mondialito song and the Qatar world cup song, he responded that both songs had a strong Moroccan influence because of him.

Contrary to popular belief, he stated that the singers who chanted the “Hala Hala Hala” chorus of the world cup song are from the Moroccan Souss region and not Qatar

The international sensation is extremely successful as he has made the theme songs for several FIFA competitions over the years and collaborated with the biggest names in the music business.

In response to his success, he said, “Once you want to make it in life remember that everything has hardships but good results pay off and that’s what people remember and hold on to.”
