Croatia adopted the euro as its currency and joined the Schengen area, which are two main stations for this country since it joined the European Union about a decade ago, reported AFP.

During this weekend, the Balkan country said goodbye to its currency, the kuna, becoming the 20th country in the eurozone, added the same source.

The Schengen area, which allows more than 400 million people to move without visas between its countries, brings the number of entering Croatia to 27 countries, according to the same source.
