Morocco Head Coach Walid Regragui apologized to the Moroccan supporters after the semi-final loss vs France.
“The players performed beyond their capacity against France,” said Walid Regragui after the World Cup semi-final match.
The national head coach added, in statements after the 2-0 loss, “Forgive us Moroccans, the boys gave it the maximum, and it wasn’t meant to be.”
Regragui stressed that “the players of the Moroccan national team fought in the France match,” continuing, “Mazraoui was sick and played, and so was Saiss.”
Regarding the third-place match against Croatia, which is expected on Saturday, the Head Coach said: “We will give the opportunity to players who did not participate in previous matches, and it will be a strong match.”
The national team will face Croatia this Saturday in the ranking match for third place, at 4:00 pm Moroccan time.
