Former Morocco Head Coach Hervé Renard, said that he would support the Moroccan national team instead of his country, France, in today’s match, for the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
“I am French, I was born in France, and I have a French passport, but, tomorrow, I’m sorry, I will support the Moroccan national team,” Renard told RMC radio.
The Saudi National Team coach added: “Morocco left a great impression on me. The people there overwhelmed me with love to a degree that you cannot even imagine. In countries like this, often, they either love you or they hate you.”
The former Moroccan national team coach spoke about his tenure between 2016 and 2019: “I received a lot from them, which makes me share their joy today .. I am very lucky because I had the opportunity to work with them .. I wish them the best in the world.”
It should be noted that the Moroccan national team will face its French counterpart tomorrow, at 8:00 pm Moroccan time, on the grounds of the Al-Bayt stadium.
