Morocco is in the top 10 in terms of ticket purchases and hotel bookings for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, said the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Doha, Mohamed Setri.

Invited to the program “Qatar Jahiza,” broadcast on BeIn Sports channel, the Moroccan diplomat noted that this global event will see a record presence of the Moroccan public, composed of fans who will travel from the Kingdom and Moroccans living in Qatar, in neighboring countries and elsewhere.

Moroccan fans will make the difference with the atmosphere they will create in the Qatari stadiums, he added, explaining that this presence of the Moroccan public stems from the passion of the Moroccan people for football and their love for the national team.

The Moroccan public will also be active in the initiative “Alliance of Arab supporters,” which encourages other Arab teams, reflecting “our commitment to our Arab identity and unity,” said Setri.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, the Moroccan Embassy in Qatar has mobilized all its resources to back the Moroccan public who will attend this global sporting event, he added.

He also highlighted the efforts made by the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation Fouzi Lekjaa, in order to ensure all the conditions for success to the national selection, including quality accommodation and training grounds.

The Moroccan diplomat also welcomed the conditions of reception of the Moroccan delegation, praising the professionalism of the Qatari authorities.
