Three Moroccan women, Leila Tazi Kandil, Latifa Jabri Chrouate and Yasmina Sitail have managed to climb to the top of Mount Kinabalu in Malaysia.

The flag of the Kingdom has been carried to the top of this mountain, which is the highest peak in Southeast Asia thanks to these Moroccan women.

The Moroccan trio climbed Mount Kinabalu, a Unesco World Heritage Site, at 6.40 a.m on Thursday 13 October 2022, to proudly display the Kingdom’s flag.

With determination, the three Moroccan climbers brilliantly completed the ascent, forcing three other participants to give up before they could reach the summit.

These three women have already climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp, and the Salkantay Pass.
