The Moroccan women’s football team came out in Pot 4 for the 2023 World Cup, set to be held in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20, 2023.
Morocco was drawn alongside Nigeria, the Philippines, South Africa and Zambia, in addition to three teams that will be determined after the play-offs.
The top six teams in the FIFA world rankings (USA, Sweden, Germany, England, France, Spain) were placed in Pot 1, along with host countries Australia and New Zealand.

Pot 1: New Zealand, Australia, USA, Sweden, Germany, England, France, Spain.
Pot 2: Canada, Netherlands, Brazil, Japan, Norway, Italy, China, Korea.
Pot 3: Denmark, Switzerland, Republic of Ireland, Colombia, Argentina, Vietnam, Costa Rica, Jamaica.
Pot 4: Nigeria, Philippines, South Africa, Morocco, Zambia, play-off (group A), play-off (group B), play-off (group C).
