Global superstar Rihanna was announced as the headliner of the upcoming 2023 Super Bowl half-time show.

Rihanna had previously refused to perform at the 2019 Super Bowl, in support of Colin Kaepernick, a football player whose 2016 national anthem protests sparked controversy throughout football.
