Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces (FAR) are set to take part in the international conference organized by the Israeli army during the period from September 12 to 15, according to a recent Tweet by the Israeli army’s spokesperson.
The event’s agenda includes a look at “the mechanisms of change and innovation in the field of modern warfare, with a focus on multidimensional defense, land access, and cyber-attack,”added the same source.
“Military development and renewal will also be central to the international conference’s work, bolstering international legitimacy in the areas of expanding freedom of action and creating strategic depth while highlighting Israel as a regional power,” wrote the Israeli army’s spokesperson on Twitter.
The meeting is also part of a project that Israel and the US hope to launch, with Arab states joining a military alliance to address such threats in the region.
Last June, US officials called for the establishment of a joint air defense system between Israel and the Arab states.
The idea was discussed at the Negev summit, which took place in March in the Jewish country.
Recently, the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Aviv Kohavi visited Morocco in July.
During his visit, the chief of staff went to the Ben Guerir Royal Moroccan Air Force Base with the head of the research Intelligence division.
The base’s commander briefed the Israeli chief of the base’s F-16 Fighter Jet Squadron in a presentation then discussed potential future cooperation between the two militaries’ air forces.
“The Kingdom of Morocco is an ally of the State of Israel, and our bond constitutes an example of a deep and special connection between two nations based on a shared heritage,” he said.
