Moroccan artist Manal Benchlikha is expected to perform in the opening ceremony of the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup, according to Hespress sources.

The sporting event will kick off on November 20, which will see the opening ceremony and the first game between the host country Qatar against the Ecuadorian team on the grounds of the Al-Bayt Stadium.

The Moroccan singer appeared in Qatar, following her stories on Instagram in the gulf country these days.

An informed source told Hespress that Benchlikha had already been chosen to represent Morocco in this international sporting event, after the great success that she achieved in her musical career.

The singer had arrived in the Qatari city of Doha, along with her staff for the initial preparations ahead of the event’s kick-off under the supervision of the Moroccan FIFA Creative Entertainment Executive Red One, said the same source.

It is also expected that the Yemeni artist Balqees Fathi, the Lebanese Myriam Fares, and the Iraqi Rahma Riad will be part as well of the opening ceremony, which will be held for the first time in the Middle East, according to the same source.
