The Higher Education Minister Abdellatif Miraoui said that his ministry is coordinating with private medical institutions in order to reduce total fees for Ukraine students.
The reduction rate will depend on the income of those students’ families, added the Minister in a statement to Hespress.
“The private institutions will first evaluate the files of those students, and then require them to take an entrance exam,” he further specified.
After admission, private medical institutions will offer reductions in the total fees depending on the student’s financial situation, explained the Minister.
The government official said this option will include only medical students.
“Engineering students, veterinarians, and others will be integrated into public education institutions given their limited number, in addition to the lack of supply in private institutions,” he added.
“The most important is to solve the problem, and this will take place within a week,” he said, stressing that the Ministry is more concerned with this matter.
The coordination of Students returning from Ukraine said that 95% of students’ parents cannot afford the fees of private institutions, which amount to MAD 13 million annually.
The Higher Education Minister has already announced after the end of the last government council that those students will be integrated into private medical institutions.
Miraoui also confirmed that an exam will be held on September 24, and the results will be announced on the same day.
