Morocco’s Ministry of Transport and Logistics announced this Tuesday that the government will increase the value of the support provided to road transport professionals by 40% for an upcoming fourth round.
A statement by the ministry stated that “in light of the continuity of the current situation, characterized by high fuel prices, the government decided to increase the value of the support provided to road transport professionals by 40% with regard to the fourth quota, scheduled to be provided this July.”
Last March, the government launched a support operation for transportation professionals with the aim of preserving the purchasing power of citizens, in light of the continued rise in fuel prices.
The professionals had previously benefited from two quotas of support, while the support process is still in its third round.
Government Spokesperson Mustapha Baitas had said that the government will renew support as long as it’s necessary, in hopes that the international context improves.
