Maroc Telecom Group achieved a turnover of MAD 8.8 billion in the first quarter of this year, down by 1.6% (-0.6% at constant exchange rates) compared to the end of March 2021.

This turnover was mainly driven by international revenues, which rose by 1.8% at constant exchange rates and partially offset the decline in revenues nationwide.

However, it is still impacted by the competitive and regulatory environment, explained the Group in its recent press release, revealing data about the first quarter of 2022.

By the end of March, Moroccan activities generated MAD 4.756 billion, down by 2.7%, following the decline in Mobile revenues in a difficult regulatory and competitive environment, partially offset by Fixed-line data activities, which continued to grow steadily (+8.3%), Maroc Telecom said.

The Group’s international activities recorded revenues of MAD 4.3 billion, up by 1.8% at constant exchange rates, driven by growth in Mobile Data (+29%). Subsidiaries’ revenues also increased by 2.8% at constant exchange rates.
