Gasoline and diesel fuels broke all-time records in prices Tuesday, reaching MAD15 in most fuel distribution stations in Morocco.
The price of gasoline reached MAD15.56, while diesel amounted to MAD15.58.
In the last two months, fuel prices rose significantly in the country, due to the international crisis, resulting in soaring of global prices.
According to a recent report released by the crowd-sourced global database of quality of life information Numbeo, Morocco placed 2nd in Africa with the highest Gasoline fuel prices, behind South Africa.
Globally, Morocco takes 58 spot out of 107 countries, with Hong Kong topping the ranking as the country with the highest Gasoline prices worldwide ($2.51 a liter), ahead of Finland 2nd ($2.46 a liter), and Germany ($2.44 a liter).
