The Mohammed VI Foundation for Education and Training has announced that it will invest in the health sector by providing affiliated private hospitals. These hospitals will provide health care for members of the Foundation, including women and men, of education and professional training in the public and private sectors.

The private hospitals established by the Foundation will provide various health care services, including treatment and surgery. According to Youssef Bakkali, director of the Foundation to Hespress AR, these establishments will be open to all Moroccans.

As with the rest of the Foundation’s facilities, such as summer residences, priority will be given to education professionals members.

In this context, the Foundation has made available two real estate containers to construct the first two private hospitals as part of its new plan to strengthen the health services offered to its members.

Youssef Al-Baqali stated that professional education members would not pay any allowance to benefit from health services in the hospitals affiliated with the Corporation. They benefit from the medical coverage of the National Fund for Social Reserve Organizations (CNOPS) and the supplementary health coverage offered by the Corporation.

As for those who are not members, the same official said: “They will be treated like other private hospitals,” stressing that patients will not encounter any problems, such as those that occur in some private institutions, such as making a security check and “Al-Nawar” (a sum of money provided outside the cost of treatment allowed).

The Foundation offers complementary health insurance that covers serious and chronic illnesses and all types of medical and surgical hospitalizations. The maximum complementary benefit is one million dirhams (100 million centimes) per year for each participant.

When they need medical transport, the persons concerned and their families will also benefit from the medical transport service onboard ambulances or planes within Morocco and abroad.

In case of hospitalization outside Morocco, the patient is entitled to benefit from medical transportation and accommodation costs for themselves and the person accompanying them.
