The Israeli Tourism Minister Yoel Razvozov is expected in Morocco before Passover to take place on April 17, announced Israeli media outlets.
This visit aims mainly to enhance tourism cooperation between both parties.
The Tourism Minister says he intends to hold a bilateral meeting with his Moroccan counterpart to discuss cooperation and investment in the sector.
Razvozov stressed that he encourages investment, in light of expectations that record numbers of Israeli tourists will come to visit Morocco throughout the current year, according to the same source.
“There are many economic opportunities offered by the tourism sector in Israel,” he said, considering that “different measures have been taken in the framework of cooperation between both parties, following the bilateral agreement.”
Recently, a delegation from the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), comprising businessmen and investors visited Israel on a Royal Air Maroc flight, opening direct flights between Casablanca and Tel Aviv on March 13.
The three-day visit is “part of a series of visits between the two parties to sign agreements and strengthen bilateral economic cooperation,”, especially after the recent visit of Israeli Economy Minister Orna Barbivai to Morocco.
These bilateral agreements are the fruit of the strengthening of diplomatic ties between both countries in December 2020.
