Secretary of State Tony Blinken is expected to travel to Morocco and Algeria on Monday after a trip to Brussels and Poland over the Ukraine war.

The visit is part of a Middle East tour beginning in Israel, ahead of arrival to the two North African countries, according to US outlet Axios.

In February, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with Staffan de Mistura, Personal Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for Western Sahara.

Blinken emphasized continued U.S. commitment to supporting de Mistura’s efforts in leading the UN political process for Western Sahara.
