Aflamin, Nabil Ayouch’s new streaming platform dedicated to Moroccan cinema

A new movie streaming platform exclusive to Moroccan films, Aflamin was launched this week from Good Fellows, a company of the ALI’N Productions group headed by Moroccan director and producer Nabil Ayouch.

The new Aflamin platform streaming service offers a selection of pictures organized in several categories, from drama, comedy, cult films, crime, action, horror, fantasy, family, musicals, to documentaries, short films, and international features.

Accessible by daily, monthly, or semestrial subscription, or via a single unit rental system, Aflamin allows users to subscribe for one, three, or six months without commitment, or finally to choose to rent films for 48 hours.

As for the price, it costs MAD 10 for a one-day trial subscription, MAD 45 for a one-month period without commitment, MAD 120 for a three-month period without commitment, and MAD 230 for six months without commitment. Various payment methods are also available, from credit card transfers, cash to PayExpress mediums.

Aflamin additionally wishes to highlight the significance of Moroccan cinema, its history, and criticisms, according to a statement from the KINOW website.

It is based on a true vocation and two main objectives: to highlight the Moroccan cinematographic heritage and to offer the best of international auteur cinema to the Moroccan public thanks to films that are sometimes completely new and not offered in theaters.

Each film on the platform is accompanied by a complete description which includes a synopsis, the list of awards and distinctions amassed by the film, as well as a press review, technical information or anecdotes of shooting, and finally an editorial review from the Aflamin team.

Aflamin has been available since the end of December 2021, and has now been launched for use this week.
