Overnight stays in Meknes up by 34% in 2021

Total overnight stays in tourist accommodation establishments in the city of Meknes rose by 34% in 2021, compared to the year before, according to the National Tourism Observatory.

The number of overnight stays amounted to 111,053 in 2021, against 82,908 in the previous year, the source added.

Arrivals at classified hotels reached 69,438 in the same period against 54,026 in 2020, up by 29%.

The average length of stay was two days in the mentioned period against one day in 2020.

According to the same source, this performance is the result of the increasing number of tourists visiting the city, particularly from France, the Netherlands, the U.S., and Africa, in addition to Moroccans living abroad.
