President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen will begin, on Tuesday, a visit to Rabat during which she will hold talks with several senior Moroccan officials, according to her office.
“This is Mrs. von der Leyen’s first visit to Morocco in her capacity as President of the European Commission,” the spokesman of the European executive Eric Mamer told MAP.
“This visit is part of the bilateral partnership between Morocco and the European Union that the President has, of course, to strengthen,” he added.
Morocco and the EU had launched on June 27, 2019 in Brussels the EU-Morocco Partnership for Shared Prosperity.
