Activity in Morocco’s maritime space will resume on February 7, the same day as the reopening of air borders, according to a recent press release issued by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics on Monday.

The main maritime links will include Sète-Marseille in France and Genoa in Italy, in destination to Tangier, and Nador.

Only commercial vehicles (trucks, road combinations, vans) will be able to transit by sea to and from Morocco, added the same source.

The Ministry’s press release was sent to the main operators, including the National Ports Agency, the Tangier Med Port Agency, the Tangier City Port Management Company, the Merchant Navy Services, and passenger maritime transport companies.

Previously, a special ferry, linking Tanger-Med to Marseille was set to depart on January 19, aiming to repatriate French and European citizens stranded in Morocco as well Moroccan permanent residents of France to return to Europe.
