Three Moroccans, as well as two other youths, were killed in a fatal car accident between Sabbio Chiese and Brescia, in the region of Lombardy, northern Italy on January 22, according to the Italian news outlet, TGCOM24.
The news agency reported that the crash occurred following a barbecue party that the victims attended. It was revealed that none of the victims, including the driver, did not possess a driving license.
A preliminary investigation has identified the victims as Dennis Guerra, 19, Imad El Harram, Imad Natiq (20), Salah Natiq, 22, as well as 17-year-old Irene Sala.
According to TGCOM24’s website, families of then Moroccan victims are shown grieving for their deceased sons.
Based on preliminary findings of the investigation, the victims were in a car that crashed into a bus.
According to initial reports, Salah Natiq was driving the car, which was reportedly owned by a friend who was following them in another vehicle. However, further investigations are required to determine if that was indeed the case.
The Italian news outlet quoted Salah Natiq’s father, who said: “They haven’t [been] told yet who was driving, but his son didn’t have a license, neither did his cousin nor his friend.”
Further investigations are underway to shed light on the cause of the accident, as well as why the owner of the car was in another vehicle when he arrived quickly after the accident.
