A significant expansion of KFC’s operations in Morocco is planned for 2022 with the opening of 10 new restaurants across the country, according to a statement from KFC Maroc earlier this week.

According to MAP, a KFC press release emphasizes that the brand’s strategy for growth is “based on product quality” in conjunction with a network of selected local partners who “enrich the KFC offer across Morocco.”

A Moroccan management team has been running KFC Maroc since 2018 according to the global fast-food chain.

According to KFC, 80% of its recipes include Moroccan ingredients. The famous restaurant chain sources 100% of its chicken locally.

“At KFC, the main ingredient is chicken. Each slice of chicken is carefully prepared according to KFC international specifications. The menus are prepared on-site by the cooks of KFC in strict accordance with the famous recipe designed by Colonel Sanders, founder of the eponymous restaurant chain,” KFC Maroc added.

Located in Morocco since 2001, the company has about 20 restaurants and 450 employees.
