The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Tunisian referee, Sadek Salmi, to lead Morocco’s game against Comoros, scheduled for Friday, January 14, starting at 5 p.m.
This game is part of the second round of Group C competitions in the African Cup of Nations finals (CAN), taking place in Cameroon from January 9 to February 6.
Sadek Salmi will therefore be assisted by Tunisian assistant referee Khalil Hassani and Djibouti’s Abderrazek Libane.
As for the other Tunisian referee, Haythem Guirat, he will be part of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) team.
In Morocco’s first CAN game, the national team defeated Ghana with a 1-0 win, with Sofiane Boufal scoring the national team’s victory goal.
Morocco’s last game with Group C against Gabon is scheduled for January 18.
