The Airlines company Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced that it has scheduled special flights on December 4 to Canada, Spain, and Italy.
This move came after RAM suspended all its flights from and to the kingdom starting November 29 for two weeks, a NOTAM from the airlines’ company had been reportedly sent, confirming the full closure of borders.
This move came as part to avoid the surge of the new Omicron variant, with WHO saying South Africa’s new variant is a highly transmissible virus of concern.
For now, RAM decided to organize special flights to these 3 countries, while travelers are required to provide special authorization before their departure, the airlines’ company wrote on Twitter.
We inform our Customers that special flights (under special authorization) from Morocco to Canada, Spain and Italy are scheduled for December 04, 2021.

Many countries in Europe and Asia began a ban immediately on travel in order to avoid the surge of this new variant as well as curb the spread of another wave of the pandemic.
The World Health Organization (WHO) reacted to their decision, calling on countries to keep calm and take “rational” measures in response to the new Omicron variant.
