The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) will hold a meeting during this week with the Interior Ministry and the Covid-19 scientific committee in order to set a new health protocol, enabling the football fans to enjoy sporting events live and in-person.
Football fans were banned for more than 20 months from entering stadiums, following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This move follows a noticeable decrease in COVID-19 cases.
The Health Minister said the national vaccination campaign is intensifying efforts to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, adopting a vaccine pass mandate starting October 21 to access public spaces and for travel in order to urge more people to get vaccinated, and began administering as well the third booster shots starting October 04.
The new health protocol will mandate setting up medical centers in stadiums, disinfection of venues before and after each game, and measuring the temperatures of fans before they access the stadium as well as keeping the capacity at 50%.
Supporters will also have to provide their vaccine pass, wear masks, and respect social distance measures.
