Most recently on October 26, Morocco’s Foreign Affairs Minister Nasser Bourita and Dussey met in Kigali, on the sidelines of the second preparatory ministerial meeting for the next EU-AU Summit.
Togo has already had an embassy in Rabat for several years, the opening of a new embassy in Lomé will empower diplomatic relations as well as trade exchanges between the two countries.
In May, the Togolese Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his country’s firm and constant attachment to the territorial integrity of Morocco.
The two Foreign Affairs Ministers agreed to further strengthen the ambitious South-South cooperation through a partnership encompassing areas of common interest and based on the exchange of experiences and a more proactive policy of businessmen of both countries.
On this subject, the two parties decided to multiply the missions of businessmen to prospect other opportunities of trade and investment and to create a Morocco-Togolese Business Council.
