Moroccan sensation Don Bigg promised an award of 2 million Algerian dinars to the Algerian rapper who would successfully diss him back, on the latest episode in a series of diss tracks going back and forth between Moroccan and Algerian rappers.
Don Bigg’s promise comes after Algerian media reported that President Tebboune allegedly promised a 1 million dinar reward to the rapper who would respond to Bigg’s diss track.
Bigg then promised on his Instagram story to double the reward, raising it to the equivalent of MAD130,000.
The series of diss tracks lighting the North African rap scene on fire started last week after Moroccan rapper 7liwa and Algerian rapper Didine Canon 16 engaged in a back and forth on Instagram stories, leading to the release of the first diss track by 7liwa.
7liwa’s initial track ignited a series of songs from Moroccan and Algerian rappers, including a 50-second diss track from Don Bigg, which allegedly prompted Algerian president Tebboune to offer the 1 million dinar reward.
To Moroccan rap fans chagrin, several Moroccan rappers, including superstar El Grande Toto and Shayfeen’s Small X, refused to engage in the “beef.”
in my opinion it is just a childish, at a time when we wish a singers or rappers who go to collect these peuple Moroccan and Algerian, we see the contrary. we need a real singers who call for tolerance and brotherhood.
