Royal Air Maroc flights operated on Thursday were running normally and had not been affected by security disruptions reported at several European airports, a source familiar with the matter at the Moroccan airline told Hespress AR.

The source confirmed that the airline’s flights scheduled for Thursday were operating as usual, despite precautionary security measures introduced at several European airports following bomb threats targeting civilian aircraft.

The threats prompted authorities to divert flights and conduct additional security inspections.

In France, an Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Rome carrying 151 passengers and six crew members was diverted to Évreux-Fauville Air Base.

In Bulgaria, three aircraft arriving from Copenhagen, Madrid and London made emergency landings at Sofia and Plovdiv airports.

Security measures were also reported in Italy, where Italian Air Force fighter jets escorted a Finnair aircraft flying from Helsinki to Rome. A flight operated by Poland’s LOT was subjected to additional checks at Brussels Airport.

Meanwhile, Czech authorities received threats targeting four aircraft bound for Prague, while Warsaw Airport temporarily closed one of its runways during security inspections.

According to available reports, searches found no explosives or suspicious materials, and no injuries were reported in connection with the incidents.

The latest disruptions follow a similar wave of threats affecting several European flights on Tuesday. Authorities have not officially identified those responsible or established whether the incidents were connected.
