Morocco won their fourth consecutive Futsal Africa Cup of Nations title on Wednesday, defeating Angola 5-2 in the final at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Hall in Rabat to extend their dominance of the continental competition.

Hicham Dguig’s side, which entered the final having scored 23 goals without conceding throughout the tournament, faced a more competitive Angolan team than in their previous matches but secured the victory with three second-half goals.

Othmane El Idrissi opened the scoring for Morocco before Joao Cambangula equalized for Angola. Youssef Jouad restored the hosts’ advantage before halftime, sending the Atlas Lions into the break with a 2-1 lead.

Morocco took greater control after the interval, with Idriss Raiss El Fenni adding a third goal before Ismail Amazal and Bilal Bakkali extended the lead to 5-1.

Fortes Anderson scored Angola’s second goal, but the visitors could not prevent Morocco from lifting another continental trophy on home soil.

The victory gives Morocco a fourth consecutive African championship following their previous triumphs in 2016, 2020 and 2024, all under Dguig, whose team has established a commanding record in African futsal.
