Morocco’s Ministry of Health and Social Protection has urged families to ensure their children have received all vaccines required under the national immunization schedule, saying vaccines included in the national program are available in sufficient quantities.
In a statement, the ministry called on families to check their children’s vaccination records and visit their nearest health center if additional doses are needed.
The ministry said vaccines covered by the national immunization program are available free of charge and are being distributed to regional warehouses and health centers according to local needs to ensure continued access.
Vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to prevent disease, the ministry said, adding that the emergence of cases of vaccine-preventable diseases is linked to declining vaccination coverage both nationally and internationally.
The ministry urged families to follow the national vaccination schedule, verify their children’s immunization status and complete any outstanding doses when necessary, saying this would help protect children and strengthen both individual and community-wide prevention.
