The Board of Morocco’s Central Bank, Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM), meeting Tuesday in Rabat, convened to keep the key interest rate unchanged at 2.25%.
“Taking into account the very high level of uncertainty surrounding the economic outlook, and in
and in view of the medium-term evolution of inflation at moderate levels and the expected consolidation of the momentum of non-agricultural economic activity, the Board considered it appropriate to maintain the key policy rate unchanged at 2.25%,” BAM stated in a press release regarding its Board’s third quarterly meeting of 2026.
The Board will continue to closely monitor developments in the external and domestic economic environment and base its decisions, meeting by meeting, on the most up-to-date available data.
