Morocco will face continued heat, localized thunderstorms and strong winds on Monday, August 17, the General Directorate of Meteorology said.
Showers or thunderstorms are forecast in the Oriental region and eastern Middle Atlas. Relatively hot to hot conditions will persist across the Oriental, Moulouya Valley, southeast and the eastern and southern Saharan provinces.
Dense low clouds could form near the coasts overnight and during the morning, bringing fog or mist. Strong gusts are also expected over the Atlas, southeast and Saharan provinces, with localized dust.
Minimum temperatures will range from 22°C to 25°C along the Mediterranean, in the Oriental, southeast and far south; 10°C to 15°C in the Atlas; and 16°C to 22°C elsewhere.
Daytime temperatures should decline generally. Seas will be slight to rough in the Mediterranean and along most Atlantic shores, but calm to slight in the Strait of Gibraltar and north of Mehdia.
