Spanish security sources reported 15 suspected sexual assaults in Ceuta since the mass border crossings of July 30 and 31, El Mundo reported on Saturday.
The reported cases occurred across several areas of Ceuta. The latest police intervention came Friday night after three people were allegedly found attempting to assault a 10-year-old girl on Lisboa Street.
The figure represents complaints or police investigations, not convictions. El Faro reported that judicial authorities were aware of 12 complaints by August 14, while the Andalusian High Court had publicly confirmed investigations involving three Moroccan suspects earlier in the week.
Two were remanded in custody and one was returned to Morocco. El País
Separately, Spanish authorities detained a man subject to an Interpol notice. Security sources described him as having a terrorism-related record, but officials had not published his identity, nationality or details of the warrant.
Spanish authorities have identified about 1,800 minors and issued them identification wristbands. Police sources said some returned to the streets because reception facilities could not accommodate them.
