A Moroccan fashion designer who had been missing for several days was found dead inside her car in Mansouria, near Casablanca, prompting a judicial investigation and an autopsy, sources told Hespress.
The woman, born in 1990, had designed clothing for several celebrities and had recently lost contact with relatives living in Casablanca’s Bernoussi district, according to the report.
Her vehicle was discovered near a residential construction site in Mansouria, in Benslimane province.
Security guards initially believed the car’s occupants had entered one of the nearby villas. They alerted local authorities after the vehicle remained parked in the same place and a strong odour began coming from it.
Royal Gendarmerie officers opened the car, which had heavily tinted windows, and found the woman’s body on the back seat.
Forensic police examined the scene after prosecutors were notified.
The public prosecutor ordered that the body be transferred for a forensic examination to establish the cause and approximate time of death.
Gendarmes have opened an investigation under prosecutorial supervision to determine how the woman died and reconstruct her movements before the car was found.
Authorities had not announced any preliminary cause of death or evidence of criminal involvement.
The woman was buried on Monday as investigators awaited the autopsy findings.
