Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has launched a special flight program between Casablanca and Monterrey to transport Moroccan supporters to the Atlas Lions’ Round of 32 match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup on June 29, following the national team’s qualification for the knockout stage.
The airline will operate 12 nonstop flights between Casablanca and Monterrey. Six outbound flights will depart from Casablanca between Saturday and Monday ahead of the match, while six return flights are scheduled between Tuesday and Thursday after the fixture. Each flight is expected to take about 11 hours and will be operated using wide-body aircraft.
Round-trip tickets are available at a fixed fare of MAD 10,000 in economy class. The tickets are nonrefundable and cannot be modified. Sales opened at 6 p.m. on June 25 through Royal Air Maroc’s commercial offices across Morocco and a dedicated online booking platform.
The operation marks Royal Air Maroc’s first-ever service to Mexico, as the airline has not previously operated flights to Monterrey or any other Mexican destination. The direct flights are intended to give Moroccan supporters a faster travel option by eliminating the need for connections through third-country hubs.
Passengers traveling on the special flights must meet Mexico’s entry requirements by holding either a valid Mexican visa or a valid visa issued by the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom or a Schengen member state.
Royal Air Maroc announced the program shortly after Morocco secured its place in the knockout stage, underscoring the national carrier’s role as the official airline of the Atlas Lions and its effort to accommodate increased demand from supporters during one of the busiest travel periods of the tournament.
