Morocco’s professional league disciplinary committee has imposed sanctions on AS FAR and Raja Casablanca after crowd violence during their Rabat clash, including fines of 200,000 dirhams per club and matches behind closed doors.
The Royal Army club will play five matches without supporters, while Raja must serve three games without fans, following incidents at the Moulay Abdellah stadium, according to league decisions issued Friday.
Authorities also banned both sets of supporters from traveling for the remainder of the season, in a move aimed at limiting repeat incidents.
The sanctions extend to infrastructure damage, with both clubs required to cover repair costs after vandalism was recorded during the match. The army club is also barred from hosting league fixtures at the Rabat venue for the rest of the season, except for continental matches.
The measures follow escalating concerns over stadium violence in Morocco’s top division, where high attendance fixtures increasingly test crowd control and enforcement capacity.
