A Casablanca prosecutor has ordered the detention of 22 people following violence during the April 29 match between Wydad and Union Yaacoub El Mansour, while requesting the placement of 20 minors in a juvenile rehabilitation center.
The incidents occurred at the Mohammed V Stadium, where clashes and vandalism broke out during the fixture.
The match, part of the 17th round of Morocco’s professional league, ended with Union Yaacoub El Mansour defeating Wydad 2–1.
Authorities have not detailed individual charges, but the arrests follow recurring concerns over stadium violence and crowd control at major fixtures in Morocco’s top division.
