Pope Leo XIV arrived in Cameroon on Wednesday for a three-day visit during which he will deliver a message of peace in an English-speaking region plagued by a separatist conflict for nearly a decade, according to an AFP journalist on the papal plane.
The US-born pontiff’s plane landed in the capital Yaounde shortly before 3:00 pm local time (1400 GMT) and he is later scheduled to meet President Paul Biya and deliver an address to officials.
