Morocco’s women’s national team will face Tanzania at 2100 local time at Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat after organizers pushed the kickoff back from 1830, without giving a reason for the change.
The friendly is part of the Atlas Lionesses’ preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which Morocco will host from July 25 to Aug. 16 after CAF rescheduled the tournament earlier this year.
Tanzania, meanwhile, is also among the 16 qualified teams for the finals, giving Morocco a useful test against another side heading to the continental tournament.
The match offers the coaching staff another opportunity to assess fitness levels, test combinations and build cohesion ahead of a competition in which Morocco will again be under pressure to perform at home.
Morocco hosted the previous two editions of the tournament and will stage the expanded 16-team event again this summer.
