Jonathan Harroch, owner of the “City Club” gym chain, faces growing legal troubles as Morocco’s commercial court extends an ongoing judicial settlement to include him personally, authorities said.

The move comes amid Harroch’s criminal proceedings before the primary criminal chamber of the Court of Appeal, where he is charged with human trafficking. Prosecutors now appear intent on holding him personally accountable rather than limiting liability to the company he operates.

During a recent hearing, court officials reviewed testimony from several female employees alleging sexual extortion in exchange for salary payments at his gyms. One woman testified that after requesting her wages in Tangier, Harroch allegedly offered financial and material rewards, including cash, an apartment, a car, and potential French citizenship, in return for sexual relations.

Harroch was previously detained following investigations involving bounced checks worth millions of dirhams and the discovery of 2.5 grams of cocaine in his possession, along with two women in a hotel room, officials said.
