With less than a month remaining before the start of the CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations, the Confederation of African Football has yet to announce key details about the upcoming tournament scheduled to take place in Morocco.
So far, CAF has not disclosed the date of the official draw or the seeding levels of the participating national teams, leaving fans and teams waiting for further information ahead of the competition set for April.
This edition of the tournament will also mark the implementation of a new format approved by CAF, under which the futsal Africa Cup of Nations will be held every two years instead of every four. The change is intended to develop the sport and increase competitiveness across the continent.
Morocco enters the tournament with a strong track record in the competition.
The country has previously hosted two editions of the continental championship, both won by the national team, known as the Morocco national futsal team.
The most recent triumph came during the 2020 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations in Laayoune, where Morocco secured the title with a dominant 5–0 victory over Egypt national futsal team in the final.
